Yes, and it might happen sooner than you think

In the ideal worlds of science fiction, governing bodies are usually portrayed as wise and harmonious, strong yet peaceful, having risen above human behaviour as we currently know it. Such beings have seen the negative consequences of violence. They are truthful and concerned for the well-being of all. Everyone and everything is treated with care and respect. Competition as we know (and encourage) it is unknown and seen as ultimately divisive and fruitless. In contrast, any enemy powers are portrayed as violent, destructive, greedy, ruthless, without ethics or morals.
These ideal ruling councils do not have, nor need, ambitious egotistical leaders. The key word is ‘Collective’ and so all decisions and actions are for the good of the Collective. That Good is recognised by all as absolute, and is not subject to change. In our real world, individual countries have evolved to the point of agreeing to a world body called the United Nations. However, this organisation is often divided by political, religious, territorial, geographic, and economic considerations and in no way lives up its name.
So how could such an ideal form of global governance ever come about and is it possible?
The answer lies within every individual of those governed and those governing, because it lies in a change in people’s thinking, beliefs, attitudes, philosophies and conditionings, a change that cannot be forced, nor impressed from external sources. It has to come from within, naturally and freely. This can really only be done by the awakening of the spiritual energy that lies dormant in every individual. This awakening causes these changes, eliminating the need for extremes of action or belief, reducing the dominance of our logic, linear thinking, dissolving conditionings and mental projections that dominate and govern our beliefs, lives and actions. The awakening of this pure, loving energy starts the inner transformation without which the outer, external, and collective transformations cannot take place.
This inner energy goes by the Indian word ‘Kundalini’, meaning coils, which is how it lies in the sacrum bone at the base of the spine. You may have come across some negative stories of this process. But if any of these were true, then it was because attempts to awaken the energy were wrongly conducted, with mistaken procedures. The correct, safe and joyful way is using the methods of Sahaja Yoga (Spontaneous Union) which can be verified by the thousands of people who have experienced this awakening with only positive effects.

In 1982, the founder of Sahaja Yoga, Shri Mataji Nirmala Devi, spoke a few words on the topic of governance in these extracts:
“…the government itself should represent the good in you, the purity in you, the pure will to be good, to be protected. .. But what happens is that once you start electing someone like that, or making someone like that, or appointing someone like that, as usual, he goes into an ego trip. ..The government gets into an ego trip, people get amazed how people behave. ..all these changes that take place go on creating a feeling in a man that we should be anarchist: “Why should we have any government? Why should we have any king? Why should we be ruled by anyone?” Because you find the person who’s ruling is not up to the mark and he is just trying to deceive you. At that point you have to have some absolute standards.
All these ‘isms’ and all that are experiments of the artificial, of the mind, just a projection of the mind, which is, whatever is man-made, is artificial, you know that. But what is God-made is all integrated. That, whatever you have within yourself, you must give it to others.…And this integration must be achieved within ourselves.
Integration is nothing but your complete connection with your Spirit.”
Sahaja Yoga gives enlightenment, a long-awaited, subtle inner change which awakens an inner energy that connects all of us to the higher, unseen realm of the collective unconscious. This is a real happening and can be felt physically in the central nervous system, leading to inner peace and silence with complete awareness of our surroundings. This is vital for our continued well-being.
