Left vs. Right vs. Centre. The structure of our party political system follows a universal pattern.

How our politics reflects an inner subtle system connecting all of us and how we can benefit from it.

The following article represents the opinion of one person and is not necessarily the policy or generally accepted view of the majority practising Sahaja Yoga.

You know how it goes – in the UK at least – the “Right Wing” party, the Conservatives, project themselves as a party of “can-do” activity based on the individual making money to support the community.  The “Left Wing” party, the Labour party, see themselves as the caring ones who stand up for workers rights and prevent them from being exploited by the “wicked” bosses.  Somewhere in between are the Lib-Dems. Supposed to be a party of the centre, they never seem to have really defined what that means in practice, so they content themselves with doing a good job in local government. Sorry if any of this sounds a little trite but I’m just trying to make a point.

This three way split is interesting because it reflects a wider truth which underlies everything in the universe.  This is where we get a bit weird because I now have to introduce a yoga chart to try to prove a point.  Here it is:

This is a chart that’s used in the practise of Sahaja Yoga and it shows the subtle system in the body.  It’s very similar to charts of the subtle system that have been produced for thousands of years in that it shows the three subtle channels running up the spine and the positions of energy centres on it known as “Chakras”.  These are more-or-less in the position of the main nerve plexuses in the central nervous system but show how these have a presence beyond the physical in to the subtle body.  The qualities of the chakras are shown on this chart as well, so love is in the heart and peace in the stomach and so on.

The interesting thing about this with regard to politics is that the three channels have three different qualities themselves.  The left channel is connected with emotions and qualities of caring and nurturing. The Right channel reflects the qualities of action and intellect. The central channel is concerned with balance and is the only one that can elevate our awareness to a higher level.

The left channel extends up in to the brain on the right side of the head. This is a very good representation of the left channel in the sympathetic nervous system where the right side of the brain controls our emotional responses and the left side of the brain connecting to the right channel in the body is concerned with reasoning and logic which lead to activity.

I expect you’ve already made the connection yourself.  Yes, the political Right Wing express “Right side” qualities, the “Left Wing” reflect “Left side” qualities and nobody in politics really knows what the central channel qualities are…

The central channel is the channel in which an energy known as the “Kundalini” flows when we achieve our “Inner Awakening”.  The word Kundalini means “coiled” in the Sanskrit language, so the Kundalini is a dormant mothering nurturing energy which is coiled at the base of the spine in the Sacrum bone, shown as a triangle on the chart.  It has long been known that at a certain point in history, which happens to be right now, the Kundalini energy will be awakened in everybody and will rise up the central channel and become established at the top of the head in the “Sahasrara Chakra”.  When this happens, we achieve our Inner Awakening, otherwise known as “Enlightenment”. When this happens to everybody it will be the start of a new phase in the development of the human race where we will be aware of the force that created us.

After Enlightenment, we feel changes on the central nervous system and our awareness becomes connected with the Universal Unconscious state in the Universe, or the “Divine” in religious terms.  At this point we experience a state of true inner peace and contentment, our thoughts stop and we can be in meditation in a state of “Thoughtless awareness”.

So, you can see that for hundreds of years, even the murky world of politics has reflected this inner truth in human beings.  This is also why all attempts at achieving a true centrist political party have failed, because it is only when the Kundalini gives us our awakening that we can really reach a state of awareness where left and right side activities are fully in balance.  The inherent duality of the human state is finally brought to a beautiful peaceful state of existence and all conflicts are resolved.

Does this sound too good to be true?  It isn’t.  This is a real thing that gives noticeable changes in our body that we can feel as soon as we try it – and it is always given free of charge.
